Edwardsville Illinois Events

The Edwardsville - Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce brings the Halloween parade to the community. Spectators will line the streets of downtown Edwardsville for an annual, changing theme parade with marching bands, costume contests, a costume contest and more.

If you're on a relaxing day celebrating the event, you can find students - sculptures designed by students from Edwardsville - Glen Carbon Museum of Art. If you distribute candy, regularly disinfect your hands, wear gloves, avoid children reaching for chocolate bowls on their own and throwing sweets into their bags that are waiting for you. Place a table or other barrier between you and trick or treaters to ensure they stay 6 feet away. Little visitors know how far they have to stand from the entrance to the front door.

If you're not taking part, remember to turn off the outdoor lights to signal to others that your house is not handing out candy this year. If someone in your home is showing symptoms or you have someone potentially exposed to COVID-19 virus, please stay away, do not distribute candy and enjoy Halloween.

The "Downtown Trick - or - Treating" event, hosted by the Knights of Columbus at the KC Hall, will take place on October 31 from 5.30 to 7pm. Fathers and daughters of all ages are invited to the annual "Downtown Halloween Party" on October 31, 6 to 9 p.m. at Kansas Hall.
